The trout is the sleeper hit

Bought the sampler for the sardines and ended up reordering the smoked trout twice. Flaky, not too salty, great on rye.

    Tinned fish convert

I used to think tinned fish meant sad tuna. Not anymore.

    Perfect for a lazy dinner

Toast, butter, a tin of the lemon and herb sardines, done. My new Tuesday.

Gift that got opened right away

Sent the sampler to my dad, who claims he does not like fish. He called me that night to ask where to get more. The tins look beautiful on the shelf too, which matters more than I thought it would. We ended up doing a little tasting at Sunday lunch with crackers, pickles and a cold white wine, and the smoked sardines disappeared first. The packing was careful and nothing was dented. Already planning to send another one for his birthday.

    Better than the deli

Firm fillets, good oil, no mush. Worth the price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Good tinned fish is caught at its best, cooked once and sealed with real olive oil, so it keeps all the flavor fresh fish loses in a few days. Try our Tins, Smoked fish and Pantry picks and see for yourself: a tin, some bread and a squeeze of lemon is a whole meal.

Our sardines, mackerel and anchovies are line-caught off the coasts of Portugal and Spain, and our smoked fish comes from small smokehouses we visit every year.

Every tin is packed by hand within hours of landing.

Clean, rich and a little briny, nothing like the mushy tins you might remember ;) If you're curious about a specific tin, check out its product page and the reviews! If you still need help, feel free to email us.

Yes! One tin of our sardines has about 20g of protein and around 1,200mg of omega-3, with nothing added but olive oil and salt. Most of our tins are also naturally gluten-free and keep for years in the pantry.

At about $9 a tin, a Saltline tin costs less than most lunches out, and each one is a full serving of fish you'd pay twice as much for at a restaurant. Line-caught fish, hand packing and good olive oil cost more than the cheapest option, but it's all part of our promise to bring you the best!

New tins land every season, following what the boats bring in! Be the first to know when something new is on the horizon by signing up for our newsletter or SMS list.
